QAQC Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QAQC Civil Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project quality plans and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the Project Quality Plan effectively.
• Establishing and supervising all quality assurance and quality control measures for the project.
• Implementing project procedures and PQP following client approval.
• Reviewing Method Statements and drafting related Inspection and Test Plans along with checklists/forms, securing client approvals as necessary.
• Organizing and delegating QA/QC tasks among team members efficiently.
• Providing orientation and quality requirement training to staff, workers, and subcontractor teams.
• Collaborating with the site team to ensure proper execution of the approved PQP.
• Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure they comply with relevant PQP sections.
• Identifying, calibrating, and managing testing and measuring equipment lists.
• Selecting testing laboratories and acquiring necessary approvals.
• Inspecting and testing incoming materials and workmanship according to Inspection and Test Plans, keeping thorough and traceable records.
• Working with site teams to prepare Requests for Inspection (RFIs).
• Arranging inspections and tests with clients per approved ITP and obtaining clearances.
• Managing permit acquisitions as required.
