Python Developer Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Python Developer Consultant based in Dublin, Ireland, on a contract basis. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining Python-powered modules focused on calculations and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated business logic related to pricing models, financial computations, payment frameworks, revenue assessment, margin calculations, and other associated deliverables.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to consume, verify, transform, and manage input data necessary for accurate calculations.
• Partner with application developers to guarantee smooth integration of Python-generated outputs with business workflows and wider systems.
• Support integration efforts involving reporting platforms, analytics summaries, operational dashboards, and downstream data products.
• Create and uphold comprehensive unit tests, regression tests, and validation procedures to ensure precision and dependability.
• Investigate and resolve calculation anomalies, conduct root-cause analysis, and assist with quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and live deployments.
• Produce thorough documentation covering technical designs, calculation methods, underlying assumptions, dependencies, and system workflows.
• Engage actively in Agile methodologies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demonstrations, defect tracking, and release management.
