About the Role

The Youth House Don Bosco Penzberg is a special education residential facility under the German Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco. It supports children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 who are temporarily unable or no longer able to live at home. These young residents are integrated into local or nearby schools and receive special educational care within age-appropriate living groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological diagnostics and develop personalized support and treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic support, counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Organize and lead individual and group activities.
• Offer guidance to parents and educational teams and participate in assistance planning processes.
• Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the advancement of the specialist service, special education concepts, and internal training sessions.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Psychology (Diploma or Master’s).
• Preferably additional training or qualification in child and adolescent psychotherapy.
• Experience conducting diagnostics and working with psychologically challenged children and adolescents.
• Competence in handling crisis situations.
• Enjoyment of group work, concept development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and in an organized manner with a respectful, resource-oriented, and trauma-sensitive approach.
