  • Lead cross-functional project teams to meet defined objectives.
  • Develop and sustain robust relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other key parties.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across all project works.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Compile detailed progress reports, forecasts, and updates for senior management.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and on-site teams to encourage collaboration and high performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Expertise in commercial management including budgeting, forecasting, and contract oversight.
  • Experience in procurement, subcontractor coordination, and detailed project planning.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of project controls, risk management, and quality assurance systems.
  • Current White Card and valid Driver's Licence required.
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience managing Defence or Defence-related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Background in roads, earthworks, and broader civil infrastructure construction.
  • Talent for developing trusted client relationships.
  • A proactive mindset focused on practical solutions.
  • Dedication to safe, high-quality outcomes on projects.

Benefits and Additional Information

  • Opportunity to lead nationally significant Defence infrastructure projects.
  • Join a top Australian privately owned construction firm.
  • Collaborate with experienced and supportive project teams.
  • Long-term career progression and leadership possibilities.
  • DIDO roster with included accommodation and applicable work-away allowances.
