Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager specializing in marine infrastructure to oversee and successfully deliver complex marine and coastal projects. This role demands expertise in managing marine construction tasks such as quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, and coastal safeguarding to ensure projects meet safety, schedule, budget, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the comprehensive execution of marine construction projects including planning, resource deployment, and final delivery.
  • Manage construction operations involving jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, revetments, dredging, and shoreline defense works.
  • Prepare and track project timelines, budgets, and monitor progress against critical milestones.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, port authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate seamless project operations.
  • Supervise subcontractors, marine personnel, and site teams to maximize efficiency and output quality.
  • Enforce adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards focusing on marine safety, lifting procedures, and offshore hazards.
  • Review and sanction method statements, risk evaluations, and technical submissions.
  • Manage procurement activities for marine equipment including barges, tugs, cranes, and dredging vessels.
  • Identify and mitigate risks such as adverse weather conditions, tidal influences, and logistical challenges.
  • Conduct project meetings, progress assessments, and deliver reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Guarantee all operations conform to contract terms, quality benchmarks, and local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of professional experience focusing on marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
  • Documented success managing projects involving marine structural works like quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, as well as dredging and land reclamation.
  • Extensive knowledge of marine construction techniques, project sequencing, and logistics management.
  • Experience interacting with UAE regulatory bodies such as Ports Authorities and Municipalities is highly advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of FIDIC contracts and expertise in commercial project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead multidisciplinary teams within demanding marine environments.
