We are looking for a seasoned Project Management Consultant (PMC Lead) with over a decade of experience in managing large-scale institutional and campus construction projects. This role acts as the dedicated consulting representative for clients, ensuring design integration, pre-construction planning, procurement, contractor supervision, and quality control throughout multi-building developments such as academic blocks, research centers, auditoriums, student residences, and master utilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Function as the chief advisor to institutional leadership, safeguarding interests relating to design quality, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Manage coordination and reviews of architectural, structural, and MEP consultants through concept to detailed design phases; evaluate drawings and BIM models for practical construction, compliance with codes, and cost optimization.
  • Develop project execution plans, draft contract conditions, prepare tender documentation, oversee vendor pre-qualification, and assess contractor bids.
  • Supervise contractor activities on-site against baseline schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project and ensure adherence to quality plans through audits and progress verifications.
  • Evaluate contractor-submitted variation orders, claims, extension of time requests, and financial disputes objectively, providing impartial advice to clients.
  • Conduct regular project health assessments to identify risks and ensure all safety, statutory, and environmental compliances are met.
  • Oversee commissioning activities including testing, system balancing, verification of as-built documentation, and manage the smooth project handover to facilities management teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Master’s in Construction Management or MBA and PMP/PRINCE2 certification are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in construction project consultancy and management, primarily with institutional or educational campus projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, BIM/Revit tools, AutoCAD, and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
  • In-depth knowledge of FIDIC and other consultancy contract standards, design reviews, constructability audits, value engineering, and advanced stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong executive presentation, negotiation, decision-making abilities, and client relationship management skills.
