Project Engineer

Overview

The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the technical planning, coordination, and execution phases for the CCTV Sewer Inspection Project. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with contract terms, project specifications, applicable quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements. Close collaboration with site teams, client representatives, and subcontractors is vital for project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all activities align with contractual obligations.
• Develop and assess technical submittals, reports, and detailed work plans.
• Track project scheduling and productivity milestones.
• Provide support for quantity monitoring and progress reporting.
• Contribute to site inspections and participate actively in technical meetings.
• Identify and address technical challenges, proposing effective corrective measures.
• Manage comprehensive project documentation and archives.

Role Functions

• Oversee daily engineering operations and coordinate with project teams.
• Evaluate engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Assist in resource planning and allocation to optimize project execution.
• Liaise with clients to finalize inspection plans and coordinate with field teams.
• Monitor and ensure the quality and progress of work on-site.

• Evaluate and endorse technical documentation where appropriate.
• Lead coordination efforts for engineering tasks across project teams.
• Initiate technical inquiries and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Halt and report engineering work that violates safety or compliance standards.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in English communication.

• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous.
• Holding a valid Saudi driving license is preferred due to frequent site visits.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sewer networks, CCTV inspection, or infrastructure/utility projects.
• Experience with National Water Company (NWC) or similar utility projects is preferred.
• Solid understanding of project documentation, method statements, and technical reporting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
