Arquitectonica is a globally recognized architecture and planning firm known for award-winning, innovative designs. The company employs over 500 professionals across eleven offices worldwide. Our Miami headquarters is seeking an experienced Project Designer to join the team.
Role Summary
The Project Designer will engage in diverse projects, primarily contributing during the initial design stages. This role demands collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to develop and effectively present design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and present architectural designs using advanced 2D and 3D software tools, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Manage all aspects of design such as floorplans, sections, elevations, and massing area analyses.
- Continuously review designs as project criteria evolve and implement necessary modifications.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders, colleagues, and clients to ensure early design accuracy.
- Research and integrate artistic components into design work when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building and zoning codes and specific project standards.
- Coordinate project details through communication with professionals, consultants, and governmental agencies.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator proficiently.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possession of an undergraduate degree in architecture or a related design discipline; a master’s degree in architecture is preferred.
- Progressing through, or completion of, NCARB ARE examinations and licensure processes.
- A minimum of five years architectural experience, with over three years focusing on Multifamily Residential and Commercial projects favored.
- Sound knowledge of building codes, including specific requirements applicable to Florida.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identify and address potential design challenges.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and within team settings, including overseeing junior staff and managing their workload and outputs.
- Skilled in building positive professional relationships through collaborative problem-solving with various disciplines and clients.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at verbally and graphically presenting design concepts and directions.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high client engagement.
- Preference for candidates passionate about focusing exclusively on early design phases.
- Experience or skills in architectural visualization are highly desirable.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to secure and maintain a valid passport to support international travel as needed.
