Overview
Join Hilti Emirates as a vital contributor to the META Materials Management Team, focusing on supporting business outcomes across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa regions. This role involves managing material flows for large projects and complex customer orders based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play an active regional role, engaging in best practice initiatives and collaborating within a regional and global framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of managing material supply for large scale projects in the META region, optimizing stock levels and service quality to meet company goals such as customer satisfaction, sales order execution, inventory days on hand, obsolescence control, and forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Large Project teams, and other stakeholders to communicate supply challenges, risks, and project order releases.
- Coordinate with the Mainstream Materials Management team to assess regional material capabilities, clarify delivery lead times, and proactively address any potential shortages expediently.
- Lead Project Sales Forecast Integration meetings to finalize inventory decisions for significant projects.
- Manage inventory approvals as part of the Sales Forecast Integration and Inventory Investment Requests under the Project Business Sales & Operations Planning process.
- Facilitate purchasing coordination by aligning with various Mainstream MM teams, entering project forecasts based on Bill of Materials into planning systems, and managing adjustments to project BOMs.
- Oversee project stock and reservation processes to ensure service levels and inventory targets are consistently met.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business-related fields, preferably focusing on Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- Minimum of three years' experience in materials management or planning.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP ERP, and JDA systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations including inventory principles, international shipping, and warehouse/transport management, complemented by strong analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, passion for developing teams, and excellent communication skills.
- Fluent English language proficiency.
- Residency in Dubai is required.
