Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and innovative Program Manager to lead two premier OpenAI initiatives throughout the Asia Pacific: the OpenAI Academy focused on AI literacy and upskilling, and the OpenAI Forum serving as a dialog hub on AI’s future. This position requires orchestrating tailored programs that resonate culturally across APAC, cultivating partnerships, expanding audiences, and producing accessible content linking OpenAI's mission with key regional and global stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Assist the Outreach and Audience Engagement Director with daily operations of the Academy and Forum programs, ensuring alignment with OpenAI’s policy objectives globally and regionally.
- Arrange and coordinate both virtual and physical events, workshops, and discussions adapted for local APAC contexts.
- Handle logistics including timelines, participant and guest communication, vendor coordination, travel arrangements, and follow-up activities for regional events.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), gather participant feedback, and produce analytical reports on program success.
- Contribute to ideation of session themes, speakers, and narrative structures customized for APAC audiences for educational and forum content.
- Assist in creating accessible written resources such as discussion guides, course frameworks, and event overviews, with sensitivity to potential multilingual adaptations.
- Engage with educators, nonprofits, industry professionals, and public entities throughout APAC to advance the program's reach.
- Collaborate with design and communications teams to amplify Academy and Forum outreach through blogs, social media, and public engagements.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants and partners to inform future program iterations.
Qualifications
- Minimum six years managing or coordinating complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, preferably spanning various countries or regions.
- Experience in program or project management domains such as content development, education, policy, or public engagement.
- Creative aptitude in conceiving session ideas, identifying speakers, and devising content formats across cultural spectrums.
- Basic video editing capabilities (e.g., segment clipping) and collaboration skills with production and creative teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail and capability to manage international logistics.
- Proficient writing and editing skills geared toward clear, concise communication for global audiences.
- A passion for OpenAI’s mission coupled with interest in AI education, digital skill building, or technology’s societal impact.
- Familiarity with instructional design, public affairs, and community development strategies.
- Experience leading events or workshops successfully.
- Comfortable using tools such as Notion, Descript, Final Cut Pro, or Figma.
