Product Owner

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Product Owner based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to lead the development and enhancement of digital products within a demanding, customer-centric environment. This on-site role requires working five days a week under a 12-month contract. The role involves defining a compelling product vision, managing priorities effectively, and delivering high-value solutions through Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives and continuous refinement.
• Establish and communicate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams including engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders to implement product improvements and new features.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate these into user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
• Decompose complex workflows into actionable development tasks and product requirements.
• Prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and strategic fit.
• Monitor product performance indicators, KPIs, customer satisfaction, and gather user feedback to promote ongoing enhancement initiatives.
• Act as a communication bridge between technical teams and business partners to ensure mutual understanding and successful delivery.
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Miro, and Figma to manage workflows, visualize concepts, and track progress.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• At least three years’ experience in roles such as Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Product Manager.
• Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling product backlogs, refining requirements, and release planning.
• Practical experience with Jira, Miro, Figma, or similar product management platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for simplifying complex business processes.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficient in translating technical jargon into business terms and vice versa.
• Skilled in defining success metrics for products and driving decisions based on KPIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, health technology, insurance, or regulated sectors.
• Understanding of user-centered design and UX best practices.
• Relevant Agile certifications like CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalents.
• Experience managing compliance requirements in regulated settings.
