About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a background in life sciences to advance their career by bridging scientific expertise with product strategy. This position focuses on life science and biopharmaceutical sectors, requiring you to engage with customers directly, understand their challenges, and translate scientific product capabilities into compelling solutions. You'll collaboratively work with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to craft application-specific messaging and content that drives commercial success.

This fully remote role requires occasional travel to our Marietta, Ohio facility, as well as trips to customer sites, industry events, and conferences for product knowledge enhancement and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain comprehensive market knowledge of life sciences and biopharmaceuticals, including customer workflows and emerging trends.
Engage proactively with customers and industry stakeholders to identify their objectives, needs, and pain points.
Translate scientific and technical product details into clear, customer-centric value propositions.
Support Sales and Marketing teams as a resource for product and application insights.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop impactful application-specific documents such as white papers, technical guides, case studies, and presentations.
Collect and communicate market, customer, and competitive intelligence to inform product positioning and commercial actions.
Communicate detailed product knowledge to varied audiences effectively.
Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen market presence.
Assist with product demonstrations and other customer engagement activities.
Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure market insights are shared and utilized effectively.
Monitor new developments and trends within the targeted markets.
Contribute to product launches by creating messaging, training, and sales support materials.
Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in life sciences research, biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, laboratory applications, product management, or marketing.
Knowledge of life sciences or biopharmaceutical markets and associated research, development, or manufacturing environments.
Experience with life science and biopharmaceutical applications such as cell and gene therapy, pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug discovery, biologics, etc.
Ability to interpret scientific and technical information and craft clear product benefit messaging.
Strong written and oral communication skills adaptable to scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Customer-centric mindset with skills in eliciting needs and correlating product features with solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities with enthusiasm for customer engagement.
Strong organizational aptitude for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for corporate and customer events.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct laboratory or biotechnology industry experience.
Background in supporting or managing products for life science research, development, or manufacturing.
Experience producing scientific or technical content.
Exposure to product management, marketing, customer support, or related functions.
