Role and Responsibilities
- Lead product direction guided by insights collected from customers.
- Engage in discovery with nonprofit and platform collaborators as well as internal teams to find pain points and opportunities influencing the roadmap.
- Convert ambiguous concepts into well-defined, executable product requirements.
- Develop comprehensive specifications from high-level requests that engineers can immediately implement.
- Manage prioritization within your product domain.
- Integrate field insights and business objectives into prioritized product initiatives that enhance Chariot's mission to simplify charitable payments.
- Experiment rapidly on key assumptions by forming hypotheses, testing efficiently, defining relevant metrics, and monitoring outcomes.
- Boost engineering efficiency through clear communication and focus.
- Create precise product requirements to minimize ambiguity and streamline cross-team collaboration, facilitating faster, higher-quality engineering output.
- Oversee product development with active clients, onboarding them successfully while gathering feedback and maintaining satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years product management experience; position level tailored to expertise.
- Strong first-principles thinking linking customer issues to innovative product solutions based on unique insights.
- Exceptional skills in scoping and specification to clarify ambiguous requests for engineering execution.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, effectively managing multiple concurrent tasks to completion.
- Proven track record of delivering products that have been built, launched, and widely adopted.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technical familiarity with data models, API documentation, authentication processes, including webhooks, expected especially at senior levels.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience shaping product processes such as roadmaps, metrics, and cycle planning in early-stage or growing startups.
- Background in B2B SaaS fintech or payments.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, including CRM systems like Salesforce NPSP or Blackbaud, or fundraising platforms.
- History of enhancing workflows to decrease manual effort.
