Product Engineer

Overview

This position, offered through a partner organization, seeks a Product Engineer based in the United States. The role focuses on creating innovative products that merge artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and decentralized science.

The engineer will convert emerging AI capabilities into practical applications to assist users in exploring complex biological and health-related data. The role blends engineering execution, product strategy, and swift experimentation to evolve ideas into deployed minimum viable products (MVPs).

Responsibilities

• Quickly design, develop, and launch user-facing MVPs using iterative validation to assess ideas and measure user value.
• Build product applications that harness AI to empower end users effectively.
• Integrate diverse external data sources such as health platforms, electronic health records, and biological databases.
• Translate complex and unpredictable AI outputs into clear, user-friendly, and actionable interfaces.
• Create prototypes for new product ideas, test with users, and refine solutions rapidly based on feedback.
• Own application development to allow the core technical team to concentrate on AI reasoning capabilities.
• Participate actively throughout the product lifecycle, from conception and architecture choices to deployment and ongoing enhancements.
• Tackle technical uncertainties by developing practical solutions when working with emerging technologies and evolving requirements.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful user experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record of building and launching products actively used by customers or end users.
• Robust full-stack development skills with emphasis on frontend development and user experience design.
• Proficient in quickly prototyping, iterating, and delivering applications ready for production.
• Experience working with complex, inconsistent, or poorly documented APIs and external data sources.
• A strong product mindset focused on addressing user needs beyond technical challenges.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations with shifting priorities and rapid iteration cycles.
• Adept at converting technical concepts into simple and intuitive user interfaces.
• Experience in developing interfaces for AI or machine learning technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with healthcare-related APIs, health data platforms, fitness trackers, or personal analytics applications is valued.
• Interest in biology, health technology, AI, or cutting-edge scientific applications is a plus.
• Background or skills in design and UI/UX are beneficial.
