Join our passionate OneExperience team within eBay's Core Product Design group. This cross-functional design team excels in strategy, design systems, visual and interaction design, content, and motion, working to unify and advance the eBay brand experience with innovation and consistency.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced full stack Systems Designer to contribute significantly to developing and refining eBay's design system and visual language. Your skills will ensure the design system is scalable, accessible, maintainable, visually striking, and functionally outstanding. You'll enhance design guidelines, patterns, and component libraries that underpin seamless and delightful user experiences across all eBay platforms. Collaboration with product managers, engineers, and designers is key to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance eBay's design system by integrating visual and interaction design with systems thinking to create intuitive and efficient product design guidelines, patterns, and component libraries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify needs, align on business goals, and assess product flows to ensure consistent design system application while iterating based on feedback and research.
• Develop high-fidelity prototypes that reflect the design system’s flexibility and quality, suitable for diverse eBay product experiences.
• Guide and mentor designers on strategic design system usage, stay updated with industry trends, and continuously evolve the system to align with customer needs and innovations.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of professional experience in Visual Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline with a strong focus on design systems.
• Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Framer; familiarity with advanced prototyping tools like Proto.io, Rive, or Play.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and inform design decisions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary ranges between C$110,400 and C$147,400, varying based on factors such as location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also feature bonuses, restricted stock units if applicable, and comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, financial plans (such as RRSP eligibility), and paid time off like parental leave.
