About the Role
At Meta, we focus on creating innovative products that empower individuals to build communities and foster connections worldwide. Our diverse design teams are responsible for developing new ways to help people interact, engage with communities, and grow businesses through platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Meta Quest.
As a Product Designer at Meta, you will play an essential role in shaping technological experiences to ensure they are valuable, intuitive, and crafted with the highest quality standards. You will engage throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial ideation to final pixel-perfect execution, applying your expertise in product design, interaction, and visual design while influencing strategic decisions alongside product leaders and executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute design projects with broad or unclear scope.
- Transform broad conceptual ideas into practical, valuable solutions for over 2 billion users.
- Create user flows and experiences that simplify complex tasks into user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop new experiences and visual layouts that advance and define our visual system standards.
- Participate in strategic discussions regarding the future direction of Meta's products.
- Provide and seek constructive feedback from designers and the wider product team to enhance quality continually while mentoring others.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to manage the user experience from concept through to launch.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least six years of experience delivering complex software products end-to-end with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design aligned with business goals.
- Proven experience conducting detailed research studies and using design-led innovation to drive business growth.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, developing design roadmaps, and making impactful decisions balancing user needs and business growth.
- Advanced skills in prototyping techniques, including functional prototypes and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes with multiple projects including interaction and visual design deliverables, iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Experience collaborating across initiatives within a large company.
- Leadership roles that improved team dynamics and positively influenced the working environment beyond product responsibilities.
- Competence in integrating AI tools to enhance workflows and deliver measurable benefits such as increased efficiency and quality improvements.
- Experience applying responsible, ethical AI practices including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
- Continuous AI skill development such as prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and keeping pace with emerging AI technologies.

Compensation and Benefits
Estimated annual base salary ranges from $170,000 to $236,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on individual skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Meta offers a comprehensive benefits package beyond base salary.
