Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning within the produce department to ensure it is constantly customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate merchandise and remove any items that are expired to preserve product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all produce is accurately priced and clearly signed, adhering to procedures for ordering, clearances, markups/markdowns, labels, and signage.
• Comply with stringent food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including conducting temperature checks and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Restock and remove merchandise as required, apply necessary product protection, and configure displays such as modulars and shelf caps to maintain full inventory.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies to uphold a secure and hygienic environment.
• Be flexible with work schedules, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting continuous store operations.

Challenges of the Role

• Managing high task volumes efficiently in a fast-moving environment, including overnight shifts, by planning to maintain focus and energy.
• Handling physically demanding activities such as standing for long durations, bending, and lifting weights up to 50 lbs, alongside repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning to maintain consistency.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.
