Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic sourcing by identifying, assessing, and negotiating with both local and international switchgear suppliers and distributors to obtain cost-efficient and superior quality materials.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Production departments to grasp material specifications and ensure all procurement complies with rigorous technical standards.
- Manage purchase requisitions and orders, monitor delivery schedules of essential materials, address any delays, and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Track orders from initiation through delivery, ensuring compliance with strict project timelines and proactively addressing any supply chain obstacles.
- Maintain thorough, audit-compliant procurement documentation and records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Have at least three years of dedicated procurement experience specifically with switchgear products, including an understanding of switchgear parameters and internal panel components.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Maintain a well-established network and awareness of UAE-based switchgear suppliers and distributors.
- Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
