Overview
This role is for a Procurement Officer on a temporary 3-month contract, with an immediate start required. The position is based onsite in Doha, Qatar, and supports procurement activities for MEP, Civil, and Facilities Management projects.
Role Focus
The successful candidate will bring solid sourcing experience, vendor coordination capability, and strong commercial judgment to help manage day-to-day procurement work efficiently across multiple project types.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Prepare RFQs and RFPs and manage sourcing activities from start to finish.
- Handle vendor communication and coordinate closely with suppliers.
- Apply working knowledge of MEP, Civil, and FM materials and service requirements.
- Carry out commercial assessments and cost comparisons.
- Support negotiations and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Manage PR and PO workflows accurately.
- Use ERP/SAP tools to support procurement operations.
- Identify suppliers, source the market, and help develop vendor options.
- Coordinate contracts and annual maintenance contract activities.
- Interpret BOQs and technical specifications with confidence.
- Respond quickly to urgent procurement needs and solve issues as they arise.
- Maintain compliance standards and keep close attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and coordinate across teams.
- Work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities at once.
Additional Information
This is an onsite temporary appointment for 3 months. The role begins immediately.
