Role Overview
DB Breweries seeks a Category Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Procurement team. This role concentrates on developing category strategies, reinforcing supplier partnerships, and advancing key procurement projects chiefly in Business & Corporate Services and Operational Procurement.
You will be instrumental in enhancing cost efficiency, boosting supplier performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve robust business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement sourcing and category strategies.
- Oversee supplier relationships to enhance value, performance, and encourage innovation.
- Drive sourcing processes including tenders, contract negotiations, and contract management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and aid informed decision-making.
- Analyze market trends and deliver relevant insights to support business planning.
- Maintain governance and ensure compliance within procurement activities.
- Initiate continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Contribute to procurement initiatives at both local and global levels.
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualification in business, finance, marketing, or related discipline.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in procurement, category management, or comparable roles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude in stakeholder engagement and influence.
- Skilled in negotiation and managing supplier partnerships effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication proficiencies.
- Familiarity with ERP software systems.
