Role overview
Agilitus is looking for a driven Process Engineer to join its expanding Process Engineering team in Perth. This position suits an engineer who wants to strengthen technical depth across studies, project execution, and operational assistance in the resources sector. You will work alongside experienced Principal and Senior Process Engineers and gain hands-on exposure to consulting, technical delivery, and client interaction.
The role is aimed at someone with experience in or exposure to gold processing, a solid grounding in engineering principles, and an appetite to broaden their career across multiple commodities and project phases within a consulting setting.
What you will do
- Support a varied project pipeline spanning scoping studies, feasibility work, detailed design, commissioning support, and operational improvement efforts.
- Prepare essential process engineering deliverables such as process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, mass balances, and equipment data sheets.
- Carry out process calculations, equipment sizing, and optimisation work to improve performance and reduce bottlenecks.
- Contribute to hazard reviews such as HAZID and HAZOP, while helping ensure all designs align with standards, safety expectations, and client requirements.
- Work collaboratively with multiple engineering disciplines to deliver projects from early study stages through to detailed design.
What you bring
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Exposure to gold processing operations, projects, vacation programs, or graduate programs, together with a desire to expand those skills across broader mineral processing applications.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Interest in how process engineering connects with mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and control systems disciplines.
- Site-based experience in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields region.
- Experience using process modelling tools such as SysCAD, METSIM, or comparable software.
- Exposure to scoping studies, pre-feasibility studies, definitive feasibility studies, or detailed design work.
Why this role stands out
- Work on a diverse set of studies and projects across the resources sector while helping build gold processing capability.
- Learn directly from highly experienced process engineering and project delivery professionals.
- Gain exposure to studies, detailed design, operational support, and commissioning activities.
- Join a team that values trust, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
- Benefit from a flexible, supportive environment focused on technical quality and professional development.
- Build your career in a team committed to mentoring and long-term growth.
