Principal Network Support Engineer

Overview

We are urgently seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This role demands technical leadership in managing critical network incidents within a high-impact enterprise setting. Candidates must hold a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification; CCNA certification alone is insufficient.

Major Duties

• Deliver advanced L3 support for complex networking problems and handle critical escalations classified as P1 and P2 incidents.
• Take full ownership of network incident resolution from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot and manage enterprise network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
• Configure and monitor routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Manage escalation processes and coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and vendors like Cisco and Juniper.
• Lead and guide a team of network engineers, with demonstrated team handling capabilities.
• Maintain network performance, ensure availability, and uphold SLA compliance.
• Engage actively in ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 9 years professional experience in networking roles.
• Demonstrated strong skills in L3 network support and incident escalation management.
• Proficient knowledge of Routing & Switching technologies along with MPLS and SD-WAN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware including Nexus and Catalyst series routers and switches.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities within enterprise network environments.
• Mandatory prior leadership or team management experience.

Eligibility

This position is open to candidates possessing a B.Sc in Computer Science and Technology, B.Tech or B.E. in any specialization, or B.C.A. in any specialization.
