Job overview
LV Petroleum Travel Center is hiring dedicated, energetic Porters to help keep the property clean, organized, and operating smoothly. This position plays an important part in creating a pleasant experience for customers and a safe, well-maintained environment for staff.
Interview details
Walk-in interviews will be held at 99 Plumbers Rd, Columbia, SC, USA. Candidates may come in any time from 11:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out regular cleaning duties across restrooms, break areas, and shared public spaces.
- Keep floors tidy through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Clear trash containers and support proper waste handling.
- Handle small maintenance-related tasks and alert management when larger repairs are needed.
- Support setup and cleanup for meetings or events when necessary.
- Make sure cleaning materials are well stocked and neatly arranged.
- Offer courteous customer service by welcoming visitors and helping with basic questions.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous work in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial roles would be an advantage.
- Must be able to lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
- Needs strong attention to detail and a high standard of work.
- Should communicate well and maintain a friendly attitude.
- Must be comfortable working both independently and with a team.
- Must be available for different shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
