About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Role Overview
We are currently inviting energetic and driven individuals to become part of our supportive podiatry team as Band 5 Podiatrists. This role involves delivering top-quality, patient-focused foot care across multiple settings including community clinics, patient homes, and hospital environments. Newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship eligibility will be evaluated in alignment with Home Office regulations.
Work Details
- Permanent position offering 36 hours per week; both full and part-time arrangements will be considered.
- Working hours are Monday and Tuesday from 08:30 to 16:30, and Wednesday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:00.
- Service locations vary within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde regions, including community clinics, domiciliary care, and hospital sites.
Key Duties
- Provide evidence-supported podiatric treatment for a diverse patient group.
- Utilize digital platforms for patient advice and triaging needs.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient care pathways.
- Engage in health promotion and educate patients accordingly.
- Keep clinical documentation accurate and compliant with professional standards.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvements and developments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Degree or Diploma in Podiatry, or awaiting graduation.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- POM-A Certification is required.
- Proficiency with basic computer and IT tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A dedication to patient-focused care and commitment to continuous learning.
- Desirable qualifications include a full UK driving license and POM-S or Independent Prescribing capability.
