Plant / Factory Manager

Position Overview

We seek an experienced and proactive Plant Head to oversee and steer our manufacturing unit that produces automobile sheet metal components and assembles Air, Oil, & Fuel Filters. The candidate must exhibit strong leadership capabilities, thorough manufacturing expertise, and practical knowledge in managing entire plant operations—from production to delivery—while maintaining cost control, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all plant functions including production, planning, quality, maintenance, stores, dispatch, and workforce management.
• Ensure efficient operation of sheet metal manufacturing processes and filter assembly lines.
• Promote production efficiency with consistent adherence to quality and safety protocols.
• Track plant performance via KPIs and execute continuous improvement strategies.
• Control manufacturing expenses, minimize waste, and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Maintain production timelines and guarantee prompt customer deliveries.
• Collaborate with procurement, design, quality assurance, and supply chain departments to maintain smooth production flow.
• Establish and oversee preventive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
• Lead and nurture production teams to attain excellence in operations.
• Comply with legal, environmental, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 12 years of manufacturing experience with substantial leadership in plant operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in automobile sheet metal component production and assembly line management, especially in Air, Oil & Fuel Filters.
• Strong understanding of press shop functions, sheet metal fabrication, machine tooling, dies, assembly line planning, and production control.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in machine tooling, process enhancement, and troubleshooting manufacturing challenges.
• Deep familiarity with quality systems, process controls, and ongoing improvement practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing sizable teams and fostering a results-driven manufacturing environment.
