Physical Security Specialist

Position Summary

The Physical Security Specialist is responsible for delivering expert technical support and managing comprehensive physical security programs to safeguard employees, visitors, facilities, critical infrastructure, and organizational assets. This role involves crafting, executing, and maintaining physical, technical, and procedural security protocols to enhance facility safety, emergency readiness, and organizational durability, aligning closely with BRA's Strategic Plan and long-term resiliency objectives.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and develop security strategies.
• Collaborate with facility personnel and law enforcement to maintain robust security measures.
• Manage and upkeep protective equipment related to physical security.
• Provide organization-wide guidance on physical security operations.
• Communicate security challenges, observations, and suggestions to the Chief Technology Officer.
• Use independent judgment to evaluate risks, recommend security controls, and ensure compliance with BRA policies, relevant laws, and accepted industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least seven years of experience in physical security, critical infrastructure protection, law enforcement, or security operations.
• Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, applying this knowledge daily to benefit organizational objectives.
• Certifications including Certified Security Specialist, ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Risk Management Professional, and Infrastructure Protection Certification.
• Ability to acquire FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary ranges from $78,393 to $101,911 annually for this exempt position.
