About the Role

Join ASB's Financial Crime team, essential in safeguarding our customers, communities, and organisation from financial threats. We operate in a dynamic and intricate environment focused on secure, efficient, and well-regulated functioning.

We are looking for a seasoned Personal Assistant to support two senior leaders within the Financial Crime division. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the leadership runs seamlessly and priorities are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive and quality administrative support to the Financial Crime Tribe Lead and GM Financial Crime Operations.
  • Organise schedules, meetings, events, and maintain communication flows across the division.
  • Prepare presentations, correspondence, and internal communication materials as required.
  • Handle travel logistics, accommodation bookings, expense management, document control, and technical requisitions.
  • Assist in coordinating team meetings and take minutes when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and core operational processes.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
  • Foster strong working relationships across Financial Crime, Enterprise Operations, and the executive administrative community.
  • Contribute to targeted projects and initiatives as requested by senior management with opportunities to expand your role beyond daily tasks.

Candidate Profile

Success in this role requires extensive experience in senior administrative support, exceptional judgment, and the ability to anticipate needs in a high-paced leadership setting. Confidentiality, maturity, and discretion are paramount.

  • Minimum five years in a similar Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or senior administrative role.
  • Unwavering dedication to superior customer service.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Effective prioritisation skills to operate independently amidst competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills comfortable engaging with all organisational levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail including accuracy in spelling and grammar.
  • Fluency in written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

What We Offer

We promote a balanced work-life environment through flexible, supportive workplace practices. Our commitment to wellbeing includes health insurance, wellness programs, flexible leave, and tailored benefits. We cultivate a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to thrive. Furthermore, this role presents a significant opportunity to influence and shape critical functions within the organisation.

Our Values

  • Care (Kia Manaaki): We uplift our people, customers, and communities to reach their full potential.
  • Courage (Kia Māia): We stand firm on principled actions even when challenging.
  • Curiosity (Kia Mahira): We strive for informed, thoughtful decisions before acting.

Application Process
