Role Overview

The Patient Access Case Manager will oversee patient navigation through access and reimbursement procedures, collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate smooth access to our innovative durable medical equipment (DME) device. This role demands expertise in patient access management and healthcare coordination combined with strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison with insurance providers for issues related to access and reimbursement of our advanced DME device.
  • Support internal colleagues by offering guidance and education on the reimbursement framework, including insurance coverage and prior authorization processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather required documentation and clinical details necessary for prior authorization submissions.
  • Engage with insurance companies to ensure prompt and precise handling of claims and authorization requests.
  • Keep abreast of changes to insurance policies, coverage standards, and reimbursement protocols to provide accurate assistance for securing patient coverage.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current patient records, case notes, and relevant documentation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve access or reimbursement obstacles by partnering with cross-functional teams to create effective solutions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and payers by addressing inquiries and resolving access-related challenges efficiently.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design training materials, tools, and resources that aid healthcare providers and patients, ensuring a streamlined access experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, marketing, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience within the healthcare industry, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
  • At least two years’ specific experience in reimbursement of medical devices, especially involving durable medical equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • High-level analytical competencies.
