About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding family and business photo studio based in Toronto. This opportunity offers a part-time remote position requiring around 15 hours weekly during Eastern Standard Time (EST). The compensation ranges from $15 to $20 CAD per hour.
Role Summary
The chosen Photo Editor will be an essential member of the creative team, responsible for editing, retouching, and enhancing images to adhere strictly to brand standards and project needs.
Key Duties
- Perform editing, retouching, and color adjustments on digital images to satisfy brand rules and specific project criteria.
- Ensure uniformity in lighting, color tone, and overall visual appeal across all photography materials.
- Work closely with creative staff to capture project goals and visual intentions.
- Organize and manage digital assets, including RAW files, templates, and finished images.
- Inspect final images for quality assurance, removing any flaws or distortions.
- Provide deliverables of high quality within established deadlines while adapting to changing priorities.
- Communicate consistently with team members to update on project progress and timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Verified experience in roles such as Photo Editor, Retoucher, or similar within visual production environments.
- High proficiency with Capture One and Adobe Photoshop software.
- Strong command of color theory, lighting techniques, composition principles, and digital imaging basics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen aesthetic sense.
- Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities to juggle multiple assignments.
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team setup.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating a wide range of photo editing and retouching projects.
