We are recruiting a Paralegal on a six-month fixed-term contract to support our Legal team. The position involves engagement with a wide range of commercial legal matters including marketing, advertising, supply chain, retail, e-commerce, technology, procurement, and consumer affairs. While prior experience in all these arenas is not required, candidates should be eager to learn and contribute across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Legal Counsel, Senior Counsel, and Heads of Legal across various commercial areas.
- Participate in contract negotiations and IP-related agreements concerning marketing and customer-facing initiatives such as brand collaborations and influencer partnerships.
- Ensure compliance of global marketing campaigns and partnerships with advertising regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Support drafting and negotiating contracts related to ASOS’ selling models and master service agreements for logistics and delivery services at both national and international levels.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of agreement templates and contract playbooks.
- Manage the legal team's email communications to ensure timely distribution and follow-up of matters.
- Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
- Lead and support delivery of legal and commercial projects, acting as a key liaison between multiple parties.
- Assist with delivering legal training and education to the business and legal colleagues.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within the team.
Work Environment
The role requires spending at least three days a week onsite to enhance collaboration, accelerate decision-making, and foster a thriving team culture where innovation and growth are prioritized.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a law degree or equivalent legal qualifications.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for adopting AI technologies.
- Possesses commercial legal experience related to contract negotiation and advice, especially within marketing or intellectual property contexts, whether from private practice or in-house.
- Enjoys variety in work and has an interest in e-commerce and retail sectors.
- Approachable, adaptable, and excellent at communicating and engaging across diverse teams and geographies.
- Energetic, driven, and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced, and agile corporate environments.
- Skilled at managing change positively and excited about evolving business challenges.
