Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by eliminating grease, dirt, rust, and existing paint layers using various tools such as abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
- Support painters by assisting with pre-paint blending requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the painting team to ensure timely vehicle repairs to meet delivery deadlines.
- Apply body fillers to minor dents or scratches and smooth surfaces to ready vehicles for paint application.
- Perform buffing and waxing on completed paintwork to ensure quality finish.
- Care for sprayers and power equipment by disassembling, cleaning with solvents, wire brushes, and cloths, and reassembling them for optimal operation.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience in vehicle painting processes is required.
- I-CAR certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work harmoniously with team members.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening.

Compensation and Additional Details
The role includes a commission-based flag rate pay system, ensuring guaranteed compensation meeting or exceeding local minimum wage laws for all hours worked weekly. The posted compensation is estimated between $40,000 and $82,800 annually, determined by individual experience, certifications, and job knowledge. Compensation and benefits may be updated at the company's discretion in compliance with applicable laws.
