Operator Nipper - Underground Mining at Bellevue Gold Project

About the Role

Barminco has secured the contract for the Bellevue Gold Project, located roughly 40 km northeast of Leinster in Western Australia's Northern Goldfields. Operating under Bellevue Gold Limited, this mine is recognized as one of Australia's highest-grade underground gold mines, commencing commercial production in 2024 with strong prospects for long-term growth. The operation emphasizes industry-leading mining methods and sustainability, featuring a hybrid renewable energy power station that supplies over 80% of site energy needs.

We are seeking experienced and driven Underground Nippers for full-time positions on a 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth. These key roles support safe, productive, and efficient underground operations at the Bellevue mine, contributing to its ongoing expansion and success. The position involves working within a high-performing team that prioritizes operational excellence and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Jumbo Operators with ground support tasks including installing bolts and mesh.
• Transport, lift, and prepare job sites with necessary bolts and mesh materials.
• Operate alongside and support the Jumbo Operator on all ground support activities.
• Conduct pre-start inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and readiness.
• Develop essential skills in underground mining as part of an experienced team.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in nipper roles within underground mining environments.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and strict adherence to site protocols.
• Possession of relevant licenses and tickets, including Working at Heights certification.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Ability to fulfill all site access conditions, such as medical clearance, drug and alcohol screening, National Police Clearance, and a valid manual driver's license.
