Job description
Overview
This role reports directly to the Offshore Installation Manager and the Offshore Area Manager and serves as the Deputy On-Scene Commander during emergency responses, ensuring safety and minimizing harm to personnel, environment, and assets. The incumbent supports site leadership in overseeing a large offshore team to safely manage production of over 85,000 barrels of oil per day while balancing maintenance and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as deputy HSE authority for site safety and environmental protection.
- Lead and coordinate base operations and integration of campaigns/projects to maintain safe execution and timely delivery of business objectives.
- Provide analytics and feedback to management to identify performance improvements and mitigate risks.
- Manage deployment of field support personnel across locations to meet operational demands.
- Chairs daily permit meetings ensuring compliance and safety of all platform activities.
- Drive teams to meet production and reinjection targets, ensuring maximum output.
- Ensure all maintenance, inspections, campaigns, and project works adhere to company standards to maintain asset integrity.
- Motivate and develop staff competency and performance culture through coaching and leadership.
- Support talent pipeline development and succession planning efforts.
- Perform internal risk management audits to enhance compliance and operational improvements.
- Help implement company policies and safety standards in line with legislative requirements.
- Represent the company ethically with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of cost awareness across all operations and stakeholders.
Context
Based offshore approximately 80 km northeast of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf, this role requires leadership under challenging environmental conditions, with rotation-based offshore work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years in oil and gas production operations.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or equivalent leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years managing emergencies and crisis situations.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry process safety practices.
- Proven ability in setting operational goals, driving results, and fostering a performance-driven environment.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and proactive in approach.
- Effective leading of large, diverse teams in complex multicultural settings.
- Competent in commanding emergency responses and crisis management offshore.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency with computer applications.

- Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader.

Additional Requirements
