About the Role
We are looking for a capable Operations Specialist to join our Operations team based in Christchurch at Marsh Risk. This position supports Client Facing Brokers by handling various administrative and technical responsibilities required to produce policies and related documents accurately and efficiently. The role requires completing specific processes within the insurance broking lifecycle, meeting standards for timing, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage servicing for New Zealand local business clients, ensuring service quality and growth objectives are achieved.
- Assist key internal stakeholders in all areas of client service.
- Provide precise, timely administration and technical support such as insurance placement documentation, invoicing, computer record updates, and premium funding paperwork.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the internal broker network.
- Engage with Underwriters to gain industry insights and support brokers.
- Collaborate actively across various levels in the organization to deliver the best client and company results.
Candidate Requirements
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills for working well within a team.
- Comfortable using technology and software solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Prior insurance experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a university degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience is desirable.
- Candidates with 1-2 years experience in insurance or financial services, especially graduates or administrators, will be favored.
