Operations Manager - Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire night shift depot activities, including inbound goods, sorting processes, dispatch operations, and managing operational handovers.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and growth opportunities to Team Leaders and night operation staff, fostering high performance.
• Track and achieve key metrics related to productivity, service quality, and cost efficiency during the night shift.
• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, security measures, and operational standards within the depot.
• Collaborate with satellite depots, transport, and network teams to ensure superior service delivery.
• Continuously evaluate operations to identify and implement improvements in efficiency and performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in managing fast-paced logistics environments, including parcel handling, warehouse, or depot operations.
• Demonstrated leadership in overseeing frontline teams in shift-based settings.
• In-depth knowledge of depot processes such as sortation, dispatch, and courier coordination.
• Strong analytical and communication skills combined with decisive, improvement-oriented decision-making.
• Possession of a full clean driving licence and educational qualifications equivalent to GCSE or relevant industry experience.
