Operations Manager - Fit Out and Construction

Job Overview

The Mohamed Hilal Group is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Interior Fit-Out (Medge) and Construction (Neotrine) divisions. This leadership role ensures that projects meet safety, quality, timeline, and budgetary standards while enhancing operational efficiency within both sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall operations for Interior Fit-Out and Construction business units.
• Coordinate planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects from start to finish.
• Guarantee timely, budget-compliant, and quality-focused project delivery aligned with safety protocols.
• Lead and guide project managers, site personnel, joinery production, and supporting departments for smooth project progression.
• Formulate and enforce operational strategies to boost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Collaborate intensively with design, estimation, procurement, commercial, and finance teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze project performance, resource deployment, and productivity metrics.
• Evaluate project financials including costs, budgets, forecasts, and profitability; initiate corrective measures as needed.
• Ensure adherence to UAE laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain strong partnerships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Promote continuous improvements in process, systems, and delivery quality.
• Prepare comprehensive operational reports and provide updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in construction and interior fit-out operations.
• In-depth practical experience in interior fit-out, joinery manufacturing, and construction project leadership.
• Track record managing multiple high-value projects across commercial, retail, hospitality, or luxury residential sectors.
• Strong grasp of project planning, budgeting, contract management, procurement, and execution.
• Experienced in leading large, multidisciplinary teams over multiple project sites.
• Sound commercial acumen with capability to control costs and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Excellent abilities in leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
