Role Overview

The Operations & Project Manager will take charge of daily warehouse logistics and oversee high-level project execution at the Hauppauge, NY facility. This role demands a flexible leader capable of supervising remote site crews while enhancing supply chain efficiency, asset management, and fleet readiness locally. Serving as a vital communication link, this position bridges client management, field teams, and warehouse inventory seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations and Inventory Control: Manage inventory databases by liaising between national inventory and local warehouse leads. Support warehouse and field teams with asset picking, configuring toolboxes, processing picklists, and verifying inbound/outbound freight loads.
  • Material Tracking: Cross-check seating stickers with master manifests and maintain monthly regulatory logs. Assist with ensuring all materials are properly tagged and recorded.
  • Facility Assistance: Support the warehouse manager with daily administrative and organizational tasks.
  • Procurement Coordination: Oversee local supply procurement and collaborate with technical leads for product material training.
  • Logistics and Fleet Management: Coordinate inbound and outbound freight timing with trucking and logistics teams. Ensure crew vehicles are suitably equipped for assignments and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for the vehicle fleet.
  • Project and Field Management: Conduct daily morning check-ins and mid-day audits with site leads to monitor crew status and workflow progress. Maintain real-time project documentation and compliance records. Facilitate client onboarding to establish schedules, contacts, and logistics requirements.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Perform 3–4 week forecasts of labor needs, temporary staffing, and equipment. Analyze prior project reviews to identify and reduce recurring issues. Generate tool and safety compliance checklists, and organize pre-mobilization operational briefs and site visits.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse, scaffolding, construction, technical theater, or scenic fabrication is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams applications.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills balancing short- and long-term project goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to attend the Hauppauge office on non-jobsite days.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Educational Qualifications
