Job Overview
This role involves delivering essential telephone and clerical support within the rental office of a specified property. The position is part time, requiring 20 hours each week, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, focusing on property management in a rental office setting.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming telephone calls and monitor voicemail, redirecting calls to appropriate personnel or recording messages.
- Provide informative responses to inquiries about subsidized programs, such as their operation, application procedures, and status updates for applicants on waiting lists.
- Perform routine typing tasks including forms, reports, and letters, assembling data and formatting material for typing.
- Manage standard clerical duties such as opening mail, copying, sorting, filing, and retrieving data.
- Complete verification forms, mail them, and document receipt on processing checklists.
- Deliver notices to residents as required.
- Input work orders into the company's software system.
- Conduct follow-up calls to residents regarding work orders, late rent payments, and other issues.
- Order office supplies as directed by the Property Manager.
Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic proficiency in typing along with good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with personal computers, calculators, fax machines, and copiers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license applicable in the state of residence.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to read and understand English effectively.
