Role Overview
Join DataAnnotation as an Offensive Security Engineer and contribute to the advancement of AI-powered cybersecurity systems. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely on your own schedule while engaging with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models. Your expertise will help evaluate, validate, and enhance AI-generated security outputs to ensure they are practical and effective in real-world settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess AI-produced cybersecurity materials including threat analyses, vulnerability reports, and offensive security techniques for accuracy and practical relevance.
- Create and address complex security-related technical challenges to support AI training.
- Develop clear, technical documentation and write security-focused code.
- Offer insightful feedback that informs and improves future AI security systems.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years of practical experience in cybersecurity roles such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related areas including governmental or military cyber operations.
- Proficiency in coding and confidence in managing and modifying codebases.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills at native or bilingual level.
- A bachelor's degree is desirable.
- Professional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH) are advantageous.

- Compensation starts at $50 to $100+ per hour, with opportunities for bonuses depending on project engagement.
- Flexible project selection and scheduling enable you to work when and how you prefer.
- Work is performed independently from your own home using your own computer.
