Job Overview
Join the team at the West Devon Abattoir in Hatherleigh as a Hygiene Operative. This role involves maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards across various production areas, with monthly rotation between zones to ensure familiarity and thoroughness.
Work Schedule and Compensation
The position involves working a 40-hour week, starting at 16:30 and finishing around 01:30 the following day. The wage is set at 13.50 per hour, with any overtime compensated at one and a half times the normal rate. Two unpaid breaks are included during shifts, and casual dressing is permitted.
Main Duties
- Clean and maintain the production environments within the site to high standards.
- Collaborate with and report directly to the Hygiene Team Leader.
Training and Experience
Comprehensive training will be provided on-site to prepare each employee fully for their responsibilities. No prior experience or qualifications are necessary for candidates. However, the ability to work late shifts, past 10 PM, is a mandatory requirement.
