Network & IT Support Specialist

Overview

A Saudi investment company seeks a dependable and proactive Network & IT Support Specialist to oversee their internal IT systems. This hands-on position involves ensuring the security, stability, and efficiency of a small-scale infrastructure while assisting with daily employee IT needs. The role requires close cooperation with the IT Manager and occasional collaboration with external service providers, though the majority of tasks are handled independently in-house.

Main Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, including updates, user administration, and security enforcement.
• Administer Active Directory for user accounts, access control, and group policy configuration.
• Oversee backup processes using immutable backup setups and perform routine data recovery tests to guarantee data integrity.
• Manage Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Handle provisioning, licensing, and access policies through Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure AD.
• Troubleshoot Office 365-related issues and deliver basic employee training and support.
• Maintain network infrastructure, including firewall management, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
• Supervise the physical server room environment, encompassing UPS units, cooling, rack hardware, and cabling.
• Liaise with external vendors for firmware updates and escalated technical concerns.
• Provide general IT assistance including laptop setup, software installation, troubleshooting, and hardware procurement.
• Manage CCTV systems, IP telephony (Grandstream PBX), and access control devices such as BioStar.
• Promote IT security best practices and support adherence to internal data protection policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Between 3 and 5 years experience in IT support or system/network administration.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including user management, licensing, Exchange, and Teams).
• Expertise with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Experience with network components including firewalls, switches, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Competence in backup solutions and troubleshooting methods.
• Familiarity with IP telephony, CCTV, and access control device management.
• Experience working with platforms such as Aruba, Fortinet, and Grandstream is advantageous.
• Certifications like Microsoft 365 Associate, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are preferred.
