About Lumiere Foundation and the Role
Make a positive impact by assisting individuals to navigate support systems, reach their objectives, and enhance their independence. Lumiere Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to aiding people facing disadvantage, trauma, and complex challenges, is looking to engage an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator. This role supports participants aligned with Interactive Community Care (ICCare), a specialist community service provider operating across New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to NDIS and Child Safe standards throughout all activities.
- Coordinate supports for participants effectively within their allocated funding.
- Engage and collaborate with participants, their families, service providers, and other stakeholders to achieve participant goals.
- Develop and sustain service partnerships and community connections.
- Enable participants to exercise choice and control by linking them to formal, informal, mainstream, and community-based supports.
- Identify and implement innovative, person-centred service delivery approaches.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records, case notes, files, and reports according to NDIS guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards standards and all legislative requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary qualification in Social Sciences, Health, Community Services, or related field; alternatively, a Diploma in Disability Services.
- At least 2 years of experience working as an NDIS Support Coordinator.
- Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Practice Standards.
- Experience in disability and community services sectors.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with client management platforms such as MYP, Lumary, ShiftCare, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including effective report writing and documentation.
- Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Australian work rights.
- Current National Police Check.
- Up-to-date First Aid Certificate.
- NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
- Unrestricted driver's license for NSW.
- Regular access to a reliable, insured, and roadworthy vehicle.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual salary between $92,300 and $94,700 plus superannuation.
