Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Middleware Engineer specialized in IBM WAS, MQ, JBoss, and Apache technologies with at least 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of one year within the Singapore local banking sector. The position requires deep expertise in middleware solutions, Oracle database management, Linux and AIX operating systems, and development skills with Groovy, Python, Shell scripting, and SQL. The role involves working closely with infrastructure teams, designing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring smooth application deployment and maintenance.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Middleware technologies such as IBM WAS, IBM MQ, Red Hat JBoss EAP, and Red Hat JBCS
- Proficient with Oracle database operations
- Strong background in Linux (RHEL) and IBM AIX environments
- Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket, JFrog Artifactory, Aldon, and CICD pipelines
- Programming knowledge in Groovy, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting
- Familiarity with enterprise schedulers like Control-M
- Prior professional exposure to Singapore local banks is mandatory
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of container platform technologies like Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Aldon or equivalents
- Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasking, fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Relevant professional certifications and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Exposure to Temenos Triple’A Plus (WealthSuite Front Office PM) is advantageous
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the bank’s infrastructure team to provision servers, databases, and software installation for application deployment
- Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines according to banking standards and industry best practices
- Oversee infrastructure activities including upgrades, deployments, restarts, and troubleshooting across development, testing, and production environments
