Role Overview

We are seeking a Merchandising & Product Development Assistant to join our merchandising team. This position suits highly organized, inquisitive individuals who are passionate about transforming innovative, elegant concepts into successful products for our customers. Working closely with our Senior Merchant, you will gain comprehensive experience across the entire product development cycle—from spotting trends and reviewing new ideas to managing sample coordination, product data, and ensuring smooth product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all stages of new product development, from concept inception to market launch.
• Ensure product info, pricing, specifications, and merchandising data are meticulously maintained.
• Coordinate activities related to product samples, vendor communication, shipment tracking, and development scheduling.
• Develop pricing analyses, product presentations, and assortment planning materials.
• Collaborate with merchandising, creative, operations, and marketing teams to adhere to project timelines.
• Conduct market research on trends, competitive product offerings, and new market opportunities.
• Support assortment planning, seasonal product launches, and merchandising campaigns.
• Prepare for and contribute to meetings and presentations with careful organization and follow-up.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferably 1-2 years of work experience in merchandising, product development, retail, or a similar field.
• Exceptional organizational capabilities with close attention to detail.
• Competency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated curiosity and proactive self-driven learning attitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
• Engages well in a team environment with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
