Job Role Overview

The Merchandiser for small stores is responsible for creating displays and restocking inventory on shelves, racks, and refrigerated equipment at customer locations. Daily duties focus on equipment maintenance, product rotation to retain quality, and organization of backstock. Cleanliness and proper presentation of products adhering to company standards are essential. The role includes reporting competitive insights and collaborating with sales supervisors and delivery staff to ensure business success. Customer relationship management and delivering exceptional service are vital.

Work Responsibilities

• Protect and maintain company and customer equipment daily.
• Rotate stock and replenish products on displays, racks, and cold equipment.
• Ensure product integrity with neat stacking, condensation control, and clean coolers.
• Manage obsolete or broken items including empty shells and pallets.
• Provide insights on market competition and business opportunities.
• Partner with sales and delivery teams to achieve goals.
• Foster strong customer connections through excellent service.
• Adapt to perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid driver's license and comply with company fleet policies.
• Possess a reliable vehicle for work duties.
• Follow safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Exhibit punctual and consistent attendance.
• Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
• Maintain a professional and neat appearance in line with company guidelines.
• Protect company assets and follow security procedures.
• Utilize company technology and resources effectively.
• Earned a high school diploma or GED, or have 3–6 months of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Physically capable of frequent bending, kneeling, exposure to weather and noise.
• Flexible availability with ability to work rotating schedules.
• Resolve customer issues proactively and independently.
• Strong communication and basic arithmetic skills.
• Previous merchandising experience is preferred.

Physical and Safety Requirements

Compliance with the company's PPE program is mandatory, including wearing safety-toed shoes when operating machinery, handling palletized products, and other specified activities. Physical activities include sitting (limited), standing and walking (continuous), frequent bending and kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and exposure to weather and noise conditions.
