Job Overview

The role involves the effective execution of the Mechanical Vocational Engineering Program, conducting detailed technical evaluations, and educating students or trainees on vocational engineering concepts, techniques, and technology.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Institute's Engineering Teaching Delivery team to improve the Trainee Learning Journey and prepare students for industry demands.
• Deliver lessons according to standardized curricula, tailoring lesson plans to align with the Engineering Program and diploma requirements.
• Ensure teaching materials are up-to-date, correspond with workshop equipment, and satisfy industry specifications.
• Offer diverse training tools to support practical learning and cater to different learning preferences.
• Participate in the creation and refinement of teaching resources relevant to your specialty.
• Promote innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
• Work in conjunction with Engineering Teams and Quality Coordinators to support comprehensive delivery of the curriculum.
• Engage actively in the "Train the Trainer" continuous professional development program to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Engineering Management to ensure trainees achieve industry competency standards and are work-ready.
• Supervise trainees, track retention and advancement, and enforce the Trainee Code of Conduct.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by EWA Management.
• Collaborate with other educators and coordinators to provide a comprehensive curriculum experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a master's degree or PhD is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years teaching engineering in vocational and hands-on environments.
• Proven ability to teach adults and youth of varying abilities, with strong knowledge of individual learning styles.
• Deep expertise in industrial engineering maintenance coupled with enthusiasm for practical-focused instruction.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with contemporary training methodologies.
• Capability to engage trainees throughout their learning journey.
• Ability to conduct both theoretical and practical instructional activities.
• Energetic, adaptable to evolving environments, and flexible teaching practices.
• Knowledgeable about diverse teaching styles and comfortable using modern teaching technologies.
