About RobCo and the Role
RobCo is pioneering the Autonomous Industrial Robotics sector by integrating hardware, software, and AI into a unified system aimed at transforming industrial automation. We focus on freeing people from routine tasks by automating them, enabling higher-value work.
As a Material Planner at RobCo, you will be pivotal in executing operational purchasing processes. You will translate demand forecasts into timely supplier orders, troubleshoot issues, and develop automation where possible. Serving as the key liaison between planning, engineering, and suppliers, you will ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) signals to identify and schedule the procurement of materials within your product categories.
- Convert planned orders into formal purchase orders and oversee their progression until successful delivery.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels and delivery schedules, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP system.
- Manage daily supplier communications including order expediting, modifications, and delivery follow-ups.
- Independently resolve delivery conflicts and supplier constraints, escalating issues only when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Category Management to ensure alignment on component specifications, substitutions, and sourcing limits.
- Maintain high accuracy of inventory data and ERP records to avoid production bottlenecks.
- Develop deep expertise in supplier relationships and category management as production complexity grows.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training or a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Several years of experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or material planning roles.
- Proficient understanding of MRP logic and ERP-based purchase order processing.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interface effectively with technical stakeholders.
- Excellent ability to prioritize competing deadlines across complex product categories.
- Mindset aligned with ownership, growth, and pragmatic work styles.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.
