About the Role

As a Material Planner at Austal Defence Australia, you will ensure the timely availability of materials and components required for production. This includes maintaining accurate data in the ERP system and translating the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) into the Production Bill of Materials (PBOM). You will verify the accuracy of material requirements across work and shop orders and facilitate the timely release of orders to the Supply Chain team aligned with production schedules.

  • Ability to interpret Bills of Materials and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding materials, marine standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with engineering, procurement, logistics, and production teams.
  • Knowledge of global supply chains, supplier lead times, and project-based environments.
  • Possession of a valid Police Clearance Certificate.
