Role Overview

The Marketing Coordinator, Events, will be responsible for managing OpenSesame's trade show and live event schedule, focusing primarily on event logistics and onsite execution. Events serve as a vital part of integrated marketing campaigns by driving pipeline development, expediting deal closures, and fostering significant connections with prospective clients, enterprise buyers, and partners.

The role demands a proactive, detail-focused project management approach while utilizing current marketing workflows and AI tools to deliver effective, memorable event experiences efficiently. Reporting to the Manager of Integrated Campaigns, the individual will collaborate with the Field Marketing Manager to ensure alignment of localized field activations with broader brand goals and campaign timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee complete event execution from planning through delivery, including third-party trade shows and field events.
• Convert Integrated Campaigns strategies into practical event plans, coordinating with teams across marketing, sales, customer success, and GTM operations to align audience targeting, messaging, and pipeline objectives.
• Manage all operational aspects including booth logistics, contract negotiations, venue selection, staff scheduling, travel arrangements, shipment coordination, promotional material production, and vendor relationships.
• Enable sales and partner teams with preparation materials, staffing schedules, and contextual tools to optimize onsite meetings and follow-ups.
• Control event budgets meticulously and monitor core event performance metrics such as MQLs, meeting frequency, pipeline contributions, and cost per lead to report progress against financial targets.
• Adopt AI-driven tools to streamline communications, expedite promotional content creation, summarize event insights, and improve administrative efficiency.

Performance Milestones

Within 30 Days: Complete onboarding, conduct partner meetings across departments, audit ongoing and upcoming events to establish visibility on all commitments, and take over immediate event logistics with a comprehensive risk and resource assessment.

Within 60 Days: Fully manage the event schedule, standardize pre-event sales enablement processes, implement a consistent post-event follow-up protocol, and introduce an AI-enhanced workflow to optimize a routine event task.

Within 90 Days: Deliver event performance data contributing to quarterly retrospectives, provide strategic input for future event plans and budgets, and develop a scalable evaluation system for incoming sponsorship opportunities.

Location and Travel

This is a remote position open to candidates across the United States. As a remote-first company, OpenSesame requires participation in several mandatory all-company meetings per year and up to 15 days of team travel related to events. The role entails approximately 10 event trips annually, lasting 3 to 4 days each, with travel schedules subject to business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 annually, varying based on experience.
