Manufacturing Supervisor

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Supervisor at Alkhorayef Petroleum Company in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, you will oversee critical manufacturing operations ensuring that production goals are met efficiently, safely, and according to set priorities. This role demands close coordination of manpower, equipment, and materials to maintain smooth production schedules and high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise specific manufacturing activities to align production with safety, efficiency, and priority standards.
• Organize daily task distribution, manpower deployment, and ensure availability of equipment and materials to adhere to schedules and complete orders punctually.
• Assess daily production priorities, pending tasks, open work orders, and critical customer needs prior to allocating shop-floor duties.
• Monitor progress on the shop floor, update production statuses, identify constraints, and escalate issues including capacity, quality, material, or equipment-related risks.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply strictly with approved drawings, work instructions, routings, quality standards, and SOPs.
• Control workflow of work-in-progress items, advancing jobs through each stage without undue delay.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Customer Service teams to address operational challenges and maintain continuous production flow.
• Guarantee availability and proper management of materials, drawings, tools, gauges, and consumables before commencing production tasks.
• Support quality assurance through first-piece inspections, coordination of in-process checks, and prompt resolution of quality issues to avoid reoccurrences and delays.
• Analyze productivity metrics, scrap, rework, overtime, and non-conformance trends, driving corrective improvements on the shop floor.
• Respond to machine breakdowns and tooling issues promptly to minimize downtime and uphold production timelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production data including quantities, rework, scrap, delays, and shift observations in the prescribed systems.
• Maintain comprehensive shift handover communications covering completed tasks, pending jobs, manpower status, and key issues requiring escalation.
• Oversee day or night shift operations to guarantee continuous adherence to production priorities and seamless inter-shift communications.
• Champion the adoption of Lean manufacturing principles, 5S methodologies, cycle time reduction, standardized work, and overall operational efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and manage essential production records, attendance logs, overtime schedules, and shift handover reports.
• Ensure tools, fixtures, equipment, and work areas are well-maintained and accessible to support safe, uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in manufacturing operations; supervisory or lead experience of at least 2 years is preferred.
• Prior experience in the oil and gas manufacturing sector or a similar industrial environment is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing process workflows, production control, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, and coordination capabilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems, with Oracle Fusion experience considered a plus.
• Willingness to accommodate day or night shifts depending on operational requirements.
• Strong skills in reporting, documentation, and conducting shift handovers.
